Lifestyle Checking

Our members ages 55+ or still in school can take advantage of one free box of standard checks each year. Simply ask a member service representative to place your order.

Instant Cash & Check Card
An Instant Cash & Check Card is the convenient alternative to writing a check that's more secure than paying with cash. Simply present the card to make a purchase and the cost is deducted right from your NMFCU checking account. Plus, it works as your ATM card too!
- Spend less time at the cash register and carry just one card to make purchases or get cash
- Transaction amount is deducted from your checking account, not posted to your credit card
- Works like an ATM Card, honored wherever you see the CIRRUS Network or VISA logo

Check Card Tips
- Call 1-800-535-8440 immediately to report a lost or stolen Instant Cash & Check Card
- Keep your receipts and enter your transactions into your checking register as quickly as possible - just as if you were writing a check!
- Many merchants refer to Check Cards as "debit cards." We recommend that you say "credit" when asked "debit or credit."
- To receive cash back from a merchant, who accepts VISA, you will be required to use your Check Card like an ATM card. You may be charged a fee for this.

Overdraft Protection
North Memorial Federal Credit Union offers you a little extra on your checking account - overdraft protection. Avoid having any checks, ATM withdrawals or Visaź Check Card transactions stopped because of insufficient funds in your account.
- Transfer available funds from an overdraft protection line of credit loan
- Overdraft protection may be added or cancelled anytime
- Avoid more expensive insufficient fund fees and merchant-returned check charges.
- Access your overdraft protection loan with North Online Banking, by writing a share draft (check), by phone, in person, or via our 24-hour Audio Response Teller at (763) 569-0162
- Repayment schedule is $50 a month per thousand dollars of credit advanced
